Completed in 2023, F.E. Trainer provided an entire home renovation to this mountain home on the banks of the Little River in Walland, TN. After being completely gutted and refitted with new plumbing, HVAC, and electrical, the property was transformed into a waterside retreat for the new homeowners. Outside, a primitive cabin was moved from its original location to make more room for the expanded main house, which features a new wraparound ipe deck. The driveway was reworked and a garage addition and extensive stone and boulder landscaping plan was executed. Inside, the home's most unique feature is the natural bedrock that forms the walls in the vaulted living room area. Literally built on top of bedrock, the home takes advantage of views of the rocky outcroppings and a hard bend in the Little River. A large stone fireplace was reworked and enhanced to match the design of some of the home's new features. All new lighting was installed, as well as new hickory and heart pine flooring. Every bathroom was updated with luxurious fixtures and features, and the kitchen was completely rebuilt with new cabinets, appliances, and one of the most beautiful stone surfaces F.E. Trainer has ever installed.
