Ken Ballenger has been with F.E. Trainer since 2003. He attended UT Knoxville and Pellissippi State and is a Knoxville native. He is married and the father of 2, and when not pursuing his passion for construction you'll find Ken camping, spending time with his church family, and pursuing personal construction projects.
In addition to his new task as lead estimator, Ken has also worked as project manager and foreman's assistant with the company.
Del is a Knoxville native and graduated from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville with a BS degree in Accounting. He has 36 years of accounting and purchasing experience in manufacturing and construction. Del joined the FE Trainer team in 2015.
Del has been married 36 plus years to his wife Debra and has 2 married daughters and 3 grandkids. He enjoys any outdoor activity but his main hobbies are playing golf and entertaining the grandkids.
Bryon, a licensed general contractor in Tennessee, is a native of Knoxville who now lives in Maryville. He attended Pellissippi State College and East Tennessee State University prior to beginning his 23 year career in home building. He is experienced in all types of residential construction and specializes in high-end homes. He and his wife have three children, and they enjoy spending their free time together participating in all sorts of church related activities and sports. Bryon also enjoys fly fishing in the Smoky Mountains.
Matthew is a Knoxville native. After attending the University of Tennessee at Martin, he returned home to pursue carpentry/construction full time. He has 18 years of experience in both commercial and residential construction and has spent the last 11 years actively participating in the revitalization of downtown Knoxville. Matthew and his wife of 13 years have two sons. He enjoys spending time with his family, especially in the outdoors fishing, cycling and hiking.
Joey relocated to Knoxville in 2015, after receiving his Masters in Architecture & Design from Andrews University in Berrien Springs, Michigan. After working in residential architecture locally for over 3 years, Joey was eager to learn more about the industry from the construction side of the process. He is passionate about building relationships and helping facilitate the coordination between the contractor, homeowner, subcontractor, and architect/designer.
Joey is married with two small dogs. Sports are one of his passions, both playing and watching. He enjoys spending time outside hiking, climbing, camping, and just about anything on the water.
Thomas Lee Pace, Jr. was born in Rockford, IL in 1972. In 1987 he journeyed South to Nashville, TN, and in 1991 headed to the hills of East Tennessee.
Tom earned a degree from the University of Tennessee in Wildlife and Fisheries Science, and in 2002 joined F.E. Trainer as project manager.
Tom is married and enjoys time spent with his daughter and 2 dogs, as well as whitewater kayaking, camping, and fishing.
Clint Stowers is a Knoxville native who has worked in the Construction industry for the last fifteen years. From his first project renovating his own home in college to his most recent endeavor of owning his own renovation company, he has a variety of experience managing, overseeing, and completing projects. Clint is passionate about high quality work, and he enjoys the process of imagining and recreating spaces.
Clint is married, and he has one son. When he’s not working, you will find him coaching youth basketball, spending time with his family, or traveling.
Colton is originally from the Bearden area of Knoxville. After attending West High School, Colton went on to the University of Tennessee (Knoxville) to get a business degree in Supply Chain Management and Entrepreneurship. His background in commercial construction, residential framing, and furniture design eventually led him to residential construction. He is passionate about building relationships with both homeowners and subcontractors.
Colton is married and currently lives in downtown Knoxville. He loves spending time with his wife, planning adventurous trips around the country, and competing in triathlons. He also has a passion for mentoring young men through Young Life and other ministries in town.
Company founder Fred Trainer, a Knoxville native, has worked in the construction industry since 1988. He earned a Bachelor’s Degree from Georgia Tech and then achieved his Masters in Business Administration from UT. His passion for history, architecture and community led him to start F.E.
